Warm and friendly staff made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. The small lodge offered an intimate atmosphere and personalized service. The private tented bedroom suites were luxurious and comfortable. The freshly cooked food was excellent and well-presented. We especially enjoyed the family-style dining around a large table, which created a sense of community among the guests.
The Wi-Fi was a bit slow when multiple guests were using it. there was sometimes an excess of food at meals, resulting in potential waste.

Incredible location with stunning views. The rooms and communal areas were exquisite, and finished to a fantastic standard. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all made fresh to order and were all delicious. The best part was no doubt the safari and our ranger Byron, he was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, funny, and passionate which made it an even more amazing experience. We would definitely be recommending this place to anyone who will listen! Thanks again!
The only thing we wished for was more nightlife or party options for young people like us. It would have been great if they had some fun activities or events at night to keep the energy going.

A Memorable Wildlife Experience
Let me tell you a wild story about my stay at this remarkable lodge. After a thrilling game drive in the Amakhala Game Reserve, I returned to the luxurious tented chalet with panoramic views. As I stood on the wooden deck, I felt like the king of the plains, observing the African wildlife in their natural habitat. It was like having my own private theater, with elephants gracefully meandering across the plains. The experience was truly awe-inspiring and unforgettable.
One minor issue was that the days seemed to fly by too quickly. With the exciting game drives, delicious breakfast, and mouthwatering lunches, there simply wasn't enough time to relax on the deck of our tent and watch the elephants.

Our stay at this incredible lodge in the heart of the Reserve was mind-blowing. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm towels and a friendly atmosphere. The inclusive meals were of outstanding quality, with a flexible menu to accommodate dietary preferences. The breakfast options were delicious, with homemade bread and a variety of choices. The lodge itself provided a peaceful and relaxing environment, with daybeds, a fireplace, and beautiful balconies showcasing stunning views of the stars. The highlight of our stay were the game drives, led by our knowledgeable ranger Dex. We saw an abundance of animals up close, including lions, cheetahs, zebras, and elephants. The intimate setting of the lodge, with only a few tents, made for a relaxed and personal experience. The staff were attentive, helpful, and made us feel incredibly welcome. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime holiday that exceeded all expectations.

I had a truly magical safari experience at Hillsnek Safari Camp. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with incredible hospitality from the staff members. They went above and beyond to ensure that all my needs were met and that my expectations were exceeded. The facilities were beautiful, and my room was cozy and comfortable. I especially loved the warm bath robes and the electric blanket that kept me warm during the chilly nights. The cuisine was excellent and beautifully presented. The game drives were unforgettable, and I appreciated the hot towels and hot chocolate that were offered after the drives. I highly recommend Hillsnek Safari Camp for an unforgettable experience.
The wooden floor of the chalet was quite cold in the winter mornings. However, it was the only drawback of my stay.
